Test Automation
In the AUTOMATED operation mode, a resource definition uses the specified operations methods to keep a resource at its desired state.
To test the automated operation of a resource
- Ensure that the resource is in the AUTOMATED operation mode.
- Enter DSA or DSI beside the resource.
Its desired state changes to either ACTIVE or INACTIVE.
- Check that its actual state changes as required.
- Check the transient log, if automation fails, to see that the expected message is logged. If the specified message rule is correct, it indicates that automation times out before the message is received. Increase the appropriate time-out value.
