With Hardware Interface Service, the region provides messages about the entities in the hardware topology.
The message has the following format:
Contains the following information:
Identifies a message for a particular event.
For example, RMHIS101 is the ID of the message for an ENTITY STATUS CHANGE event.
Note: For more information, see the message online help.
(Optional) Is a number to sequence a message that requires multiple lines. A + at the end of a message indicates that the content is continued on a second message.
For example, the following content requires two messages:
RMHIS117 #1 IBM390PS.MF01 (CPC) 5 - TX1="Mirroring data from the primary support element to the alternate support element " + RMHIS117 #2 IBM390PS.MF01 (CPC) 5 - TX2="completed successfully."
Identifies the entity.
Example: IBM390PS.MF01 for a CPC-type entity
Is the type of entity:
Example: CPC for a central processor complex
Is the hierarchy level of the entity in the hardware topology.
Is the list of entity attributes relevant for the message.
Note: For more information, see the message online help.
(Optional) Indicates that the content is continued on the next message.
