Install the Workpoint Server Application on the Workpoint Cluster

Install the Workpoint application using the .ear file created when you ran the CA RCM server installer.

To Install the Workpoint server application on the Workpoint cluster

  1. Browse to the following directory of the Windows computer on which you ran the CA RCM installer:
    RCM_install\Server\rcm_websphere\
    

    Note: RCM_install is the CA RCM installation directory.

  2. Copy the wpServerPlus.ear file from this directory to the WebSphere Application Server.
  3. Install the wpServerPlus.ear file from the WebSphere administration console (Applications, Install New Application). Select the Show me all installation options and parameters option and click Next.

    The Choose to generate default bindings and mappings screen appears.

  4. Select the Generate Default Bindings option, and the Specify Prefix option. Clear the Prefix field. Click Next.

    The installation process screen appears.

  5. In the Select installation options dialog, verify that the Deploy enterprise beans option is selected.
  6. In the Map modules to servers dialog, map the application to the Workpoint cluster,and select any other modules you wish. Then click Apply.
  7. In the Provide options to perform the EJB deploy dialog, select a value appropriate to your configuration in the Deploy EJBs Option - Database type field.
  8. In the Bind listeners for message-driven beans dialog, bind listeners according to the following table.
  9. In the Provide JNDI names for beans dialog and the Map EJB references to beans dialogs, remove the slash character (/) at the beginning of all JNDI names shown in these screens.
  10. In the Map resource references to resources dialog:
    1. Verify that the jms/wpConnectionFactory is selected.
    2. Select all Workpoint Server beans and assign the JNDI name value jms/wpConnectionFactory to each of them.
    3. Scroll down to the EJB mapping table, and click Select All. Ignore warning messages related to the WPDS datasources.
    4. Click Apply.
  11. In the Map resource environment entry reference to resource dialog, change the jms/ prefix to queue/ in all entries of the Target Resource JNDI column.
  12. In the Map virtual hosts for web modules dialog, select the web module.
  13. In the Map security roles to users/groups dialog, Select the Workpoint entry and enable the Everyone option.
  14. In the Map RunAs roles to user dialog, Select the Workpoint entry.
  15. Click Finish Deployment to complete installation.
  16. Save configuration changes
  17. Restart the application server.
  18. From the administration console, click Applications, Enterprise Applications and start Workpoint Server Plus.
