Verify the Connector for CA Identity Manager Mapping File

Verify that the mapping file fields are current with the fields in CA RCM and CA Identity Manager. The mapping file is located the following directory:

client_tools_home\Software\Converters\CA\conf

To verify the connector mapping file

  1. Open the defaultMapping.xml file.
  2. Go through the User and Role mappings and verify that all host fields exist in the universe where the connector is defined. To do this, compare the mapping fields with the fields defined in the universe, as follows:
    1. Log into the CA RCM portal as an administrator.
    2. Go to Entity Browser.
    3. Select the universe where the connector is defined, and the master configuration.
    4. Under both the Users and Roles tabs, click Customize.
    5. Compare the Selected Fields in both tabs to the fields defined in the defaultMapping.xml file.

If any of the fields do not match (case-sensitive), change the fields in the mapping file to match what is in CA RCM.

  3. Verify that all guest fields exist in the CA Identity Manager system.
  4. If you change the mapping file, reload the ZIP file to CA RCM, as follows:
    1. Log into the CA RCM portal as an administrator.
    2. Go to Administration, Settings.
    3. Click Connector Settings.
    4. Edit the Connector for CA Identity Manager.
    5. Provide the name of the ZIP file in the Attachment ID field.
    6. Click Save.
