Create a Custom Object Policy with Path Permissions
Create a custom Object access policy with the Object access policy. The number of entries you make depends on the depth of the path. Enter one line for each path level, beginning with the root folder (/).
Follow these steps:
- Browse to CA EEM and log in.
- Click the Manage Access Policies tab.
- Create a custom Object policy to restrict a specified user to a specified path in the library.
- Click the New Access Policy link for Object under Access policies.
- Enter a name.
- Select Access Control List for Type and click OK to the verification message.
- Click Search Identities with Type set to User.
- Click Search. Select the user identifier from the displayed list and click the right arrow.
- Type a forward slash (/) in the Add resource field and click Add.
- In the same field, type / followed by the name of the folder containing the objects to which the user is restricted. Click Add.
- Select Object_List (List) for the root folder (/).
- Select Object_List (List) for the /folder path. Repeat this step if there is a /folder/subfolder path.
Note: You can enter /folder/subfolder* and select "Treat as regular expression" to include all folders subordinate to the specified subfolder.
- Click Save. Click Close.
