Dynamic trend views contain no data until you edit them to select settings.
Follow these steps:
The View Settings dialog opens.
The Context that you select constrains your subsequent options.
The following options are available for the chart format:
Note: Trend data in dynamic views represents averages of metric values across all items that are included.
The selected metric value appears in the Metric Value Selected list.
Note: By default, filtering is enabled to display only metrics that are consistent with the default roll-up strategy. To select metrics that do not conform, clear the Metric Filtering check box. When the selected metrics do not conform, the dialog displays an informational message in the header.
The Resolution is the amount of time that each data point in the chart represents.
Note: Some data sources let you set a polling rate for managed items. If you select a resolution that is smaller than the polling rate, the query is adjusted automatically. The view then shows the smallest resolution for the available data.
A trend line or stacked line is rendered for each device or component metric.
Note: Only the managed items that are included in your permission groups are displayed.
The items that you selected appear in the Selected [Items] pane.
The items that you selected appear in the list of Items to Include. Only these items are queried for performance data.
Note: To remove an item, click Add/Remove Items to return to the Add/Remove Items dialog. Select the item or group in the Selected pane, and click Remove.
Note: The availability of these options depends on your user account role rights.
The view refreshes to reflect your updates.
Click the Edit icon
, and select Show/Hide List of Selected Items to switch between the chart view and a list of the items that you selected to include.
