This appendix describes health checks for CA TPX. The product owner for all CA_TPX health checks is TPX.

PMO_TIME_BETWEEN_SORTS

Description

This CA PMO health check ensures that the managed list is big enough to provide best performance for directory searches of LNKLST members with CA PMO.

This health check runs on an interval of one (1) hour, and on a 30 minute interval in the exception state.

Best Practice

For best performance of directory searches for modules from LNKLST libraries, increase the MLSIZE parameter in CA PMO parameter member.

Parameters Accepted
THRESHOLD(nn)

Number of minutes between sorts to generate an exception.

Default: 7

Range: 1-15

PMO_LNKLST_MEM_NOT_FND

Description

This CA PMO health check ensures that CA PMO is adequately assisting LNKLST searches.

This health check runs on an interval of one (1) hour, and on a 30 minute interval in the exception state.

Best Practice

For best performance, set the parameter RETNF=YES in CA PMO parameter member and restart CA PMO.

Parameters Accepted
THRESHOLD(n)

Number of percent of Member not found LNKLST searches not assisted by CA PMO to generate the exception.

Default: 1

PMO_NUMADDED_EXCEEDED_PCT

Description

This CA PMO health check check ensures there are enough entries for private libraries.

This health check runs on an interval of one (1) hour, and on a 30 minute interval in the exception state.

Best Practice

To increase performance of private libraries directory searches, increase the NUMADDED parameter in CA PMO startup parameter member and restart CA PMO.

THRESHOLD(n)

Number of percent of searches in private libraries that are ineligible because of NUMADDED exceeded condition.

Default: 1

Range: 1-10
