The following table summarizes information about CA PMO parameters:
Indicates whether CA PMO should perform priority management for MUST CACHE datasets.
Default: AUTOSMS=YES
Indicates whether CA PMO should activate the trimming of DEB chains in the BLDL exit.
Default: BLDLTRIM=NO
Indicates whether to activate security for the operator commands.
Default: CMDSECUR=NO.
The monetary cost of one CPU second.
Default: None.
The time interval, in seconds, for which PMO/XSYS reads from and writes to the control file.
Default: CYCLE=10.
Instructs CA PMO to install the Directory Entry (DE) Services exit during initialization. Specify YES or NO.
Default: DESERV=NO.
The size of directory entries.
Default: DESIZE=76. Some products, such as CA PDSMAN, require a DESIZE value of 76.
Indicates whether to enable the CA PMO/DFDSS interface. Specify YES or NO.
Default: DFDSS=YES.
Specifies private libraries that you do not want CA PMO to manage. Data set name is the library name or a set of libraries. You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard for one character. If used at the end of the data set name, it is a wildcard for several characters. An asterisk alone indicates all private libraries. Volser is a volume serial number. The INCLPRVT parameter and the F PMO,INCLPRVT command override EXCLAUTO parameter statements.
Default: No libraries are excluded.
Prevents CA PMO from managing the members of the specified LNKLST library in the managed list. Multiple EXCLLNK=data set name statements are necessary to exclude more than one LNKLST library, unless you specify EXCLLNK=* to exclude all LNKLST libraries. Default: No libraries are excluded.
If option is NR, CA PMO does not write offline reports. If option is AM, CA PMO prints all members in the hash table. If option is NM, CA PMO prints only the first page of the report. No member list is printed. If option is SA, CA PMO sorts the member list alphabetically. If option is SN, CA PMO sorts the member list numerically by count.
Default: EXCLREPT=NR.
The monetary cost of 1,000 EXCPs.
Default: None.
The number of CPU microseconds per EXCP.
Default: EXCPCPU=39 (for an IBM 9672-R66 processor).
Indicates whether to enable the CA PMO/FDR interface. Specify YES or NO.
Default: FDR=YES.
A value of YES indicates that the managed list will be fixed in processor storage; CA PMO will use ECSA subpool 228. A value of NO indicates subpool 241.
Default: FIX=YES.
Specifies private libraries that you want CA PMO to manage automatically. Data set name is the library name or a set of libraries. You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard for one character. If used at the end of the data set name, it is a wildcard for several characters. Volser is a volume serial number.
Default: CA PMO considers all private libraries eligible for automatic management.
Specifies a LNKLST library that CA PMO may manage in the managed list. Multiple INCLLNK=data set name statements are necessary to include more than one LNKLST library. This parameter is mutually exclusive with the EXCLLNK parameter.
Default: All LNKLST libraries are included.
A manual method of specifying private libraries that CA PMO may manage. This parameter overrides the EXCLAUTO parameter. CA PMO will continue to manage these libraries, even if NUMADDED is exceeded or the virtual storage area is exhausted.
Default: none
The length of time that CA PMO uses when calculating current and peak interval statistics. You specify interval length in numeric format, for instance, INTVL=02:30:00.
Default: INTVL=01:00:00.
Specifies whether CA PMO deallocates a library after building its hash table. If you specify a value of NO, CA PMO allocates the library as SHR. If you specify YES, CA PMO closes and unallocates the library after rebuilding the hash table.
Default: JES3ALLC=NO.
Determines whether CA PMO refreshes the LLA when there are updates on the system. This parameter takes a value of AUTO (CA PMO automatically updates the LLA), WARN (CA PMO warns the operator of the need for an LLA refresh), or NO (CA PMO does not interface with LLA).
Default: LLA=WARN.
Allows CA PMO to conduct selective LLA refreshes automatically. The value provided for LLAPRMLB is the name of partitioned data set that CA PMO uses when writing LLA refresh parameters. If you use this parameter, you must also specify the parameters LLA=AUTO and OPERMSG=NO, and you must provide a value for the REFDELAY parameter.
Default: None.
The number of entries that CA PMO can have in the managed list.
Default: MLSIZE=200.
If the value of the MODE parameter is ACTIVE, CA PMO performs all of its usual activities. If the MODE is PASSIVE, CA PMO calculates statistics as if were performing its usual functions, but it is not actually optimizing directory searches.
Default: MODE=ACTIVE.
The symbol CA PMO uses when printing monetary costs on PMOMON displays. The symbol may be three characters long, maximum. Default: MONEYSYM=$.
The maximum number of private libraries that CA PMO can add for management automatically, or the maximum you can add by issuing a command.
Default: NUMADDED=400 or NUMADDED=30 if you specified EXCLAUTO=*.
The maximum number of private libraries that CA PMO can consider eligible for management. Each library requires 224 bytes of storage in ECSA.
Default: NUMCANDS=60.
If you specified LLA=AUTO, this parameter determines whether CA PMO automatically refreshes the LLA. A value of NO causes CA PMO to automatically refresh the LLA after waiting for the amount of time specified on the REFDELAY parameter. A value of YES causes CA PMO to ask the operator if it should refresh the LLA.
Default: OPERMSG=NO.
Specify a value of NO if you do not use CA Panexec. If you do use it, specify a value of YES.
Default: PANEXEC=NO.
Specifies how long CA PMO (or PMO/XSYS) waits between detecting a LNKLST update and refreshing the LLA.
Default: REFDELAY=00:05:00.
Determines when CA PMO resets its statistics. A value of YES causes CA PMO to reset its statistics daily, at midnight. A value of NO prevents CA PMO from resetting its statistics automatically.
Default: RESETPK=NO.
Controls whether CA PMO creates managed list entries for LNKLST members that were not found. A value of YES causes CA PMO to create the managed list entries; a value of NO prevents it from creating these entries.
Default: RETNF=YES.
YES if you use CA Roscoe; otherwise, specify a value of NO.
Default: ROSCOE=NO.
You may specify this parameter if you provide a value of DS for the SYSOUT parameter. RPTDSN takes as a value the name of a data set to which offline reports are written. Volser is a volume serial number.
Tells CA PMO not to refresh LLA for the specified data set. Use this parameter to control when specific LNKLST libraries are refreshed. Specify the data set name or LNKLST.
Default: none
The number of CPU microseconds per SVC 18 execution. Default: SVCCPU=16 (for an IBM 9672-R66 processor).
If this parameter has a one-character SYSOUT class as a value, CA PMO sends offline reports to that SYSOUT class. A value of DS indicates that reports are written to a data set. You specify the data set name as a value to the RPTDSN parameter.
Default: SYSOUT=A.
Specify TOPSECRT=YES if you use eTrust CA Top Secret and you do not use CA PDSMAN; otherwise, specify TOPSECRT=NO.
Default: TOPSECRT=NO.
The average cost of an hour of an end user's time, including overhead and benefits.
Default: None.
Causes CA PMO to start PMO/XCF component which communicates directory entry update information to all the other members of this group within the sysplex. The name identifies the CA PMO group in the sysplex.
Default: PMOXCFGP (must specify at least XCFGROUP= or XCFMEMBR= to start PMO/XCF).
Causes CA PMOto start PMO/XCF component which communicates directory entry update information to all the other members of this group within the sysplex. The name identifies particular CA PMO in the XCF group.
Default: PMOXCFsysid (must specify at least XCFGROUP= or XCFMEMBR= to start PMO/XCF).
Causes CA PMO to automatically start PMO/XSYS. It also causes PMO/XSYS to communicate directory entry update information to each system specified for cross-system option. System names must be four characters long (shorter names may be padded on the right with blanks).
Default: None.
A value of ALL causes CA PMO and PMO/XSYS to communicate information about all updates. A value of PMO causes update information to be communicated for eligible libraries and libraries being managed by CA PMO.
Default: XSYSCOMM=ALL.
