Step 7. Indicate LDAP User Authentication

Indicate your user authentication preferences.

If you chose LDAP authentication first, supply the following:

LDAP Host
LDAP Port
Login Attribute: The attribute in your LDAP directory that is used for user authentication. Common attribute names are cn (common name) and uid.
Base DN: Additional attributes that need to be added to a user’s login attribute, to produce the distinguished name as desired.

After entering the LDAP information, click the Test button to verify the connection.

A Connection Successful message tells you that your server and port entries were valid; otherwise, modify the parameters and try it again.

Note: The test function is unable to verify the correctness of Login Attribute and Base DN.
