Example: Analyst Logs an Internal-Only Comment

In this example, an analyst opens an Incident to log an internal-only comment. Analysts can also specify Research or Callback for the Activity Log.

Follow these steps:

  1. The analyst logs in to the REST mobile interface.
  2. The analyst completes one of the following steps:

    The detail page for Incident 40 appears.

  3. The analyst selects Create Activity.

    The Create New Activity Log page appears.

  4. The analyst selects Log Comment from the Type drop-down list.
  5. The analyst selects Yes from the Internal option.
  6. The analyst indicates the amount of time spent on the Incident.

    Note: If the analyst does not provide a time spent value, CA SDM displays the amount of time between opening the page and saving the activity log.

  7. The analyst enters a description and selects Save.

    The Incident 40 activity log is updated with an internal-only comment.
