Edit CI Details for a Base Object

You can edit the attributes of the base object that the CI represents, such as Alt CI ID and Notes, in the same way as in any other Configuration Item Detail window.

To edit the attributes of the base object that the CI represents

  1. Select a CI in the base object family.

    The Configuration Item Detail page appears.

  2. Click the object link at the top of the page.

    The object Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The object Update page appears.

  4. Edit the fields as desired and click Save.

    The Update page closes.

    If you have modified one of attributes that appears in the Attributes tab of the Configuration Item Detail page, the change is displayed there after the page is refreshed.
