How to Resolve Ambiguous CI Transactions

After you identify ambiguous CI transactions and determine if their identifying attributes or the target CI are valid, resolve the ambiguity among the CI transaction using one of the following:

Modify the identifying attributes

If you determine the identifying attributes are not complete or invalid, you can set the CI identifying attributes so that the CI is unique using the web interface.

Specify the Target CI

If you determine the target CI is not set or not valid, you can specify a CI for an ambiguous transaction so that its data is directed to a specific target CI regardless of the values of the identifying attributes specified in the transaction.
