Example: Use the Notify Current and Previous Assignee of a Change Order Rule

The Notify Current and Previous Assignee of a Change Order rule notifies both the current and previous assignees of the change order during a transfer. You can also create a similar rule for other ticket types.

Example: Notify both the current and previous assignees of a change order transfer

  1. Verify that either the default rule attached to the Initial activity notification is either removed or the "Auto Notification" on the Message Template attached to the rule is set to No.

This prevents notifications from being sent out for these default rules.

  2. Open the Notify Current and Previous Assignee of a Change Order rule.
  3. Click the Message Template "Notify Current and Previous Assignee of a Change Order" and select the Auto Notification option.
  4. Attach the "Notify Current and Previous Assignee of a Change Order" rule to the Transfer activity notification.
  5. Do the following:
    1. Create and save a change order with an assignee.
    2. Transfer to a new assignee.

Verify that both users receive the transfer notification.
