Identify the Managed Attributes

Identify which CI attributes you want to manage for the change verification strategy. For example, you want to manage the IP Address (alarm_id) attribute with change verification.

Follow these steps:

1. On the Administration tab, click CA CMDB, Configuration Control, Managed Attributes.
2. Click Create New.
3. Complete the following steps:
   1. Enter alarm_id as the Attribute Name
   2. Enter IP Address as the Attribute Label.
   3. Select an Initial Verify Status from the drop-down list.

      Default: Verification Pending

   4. (Optional) Select the Case Sensitive option if you want to enforce case sensitivity for change specification planned value comparisons.

      Default: Disabled

   5. Click Save.
