Set the Desired State Through the Schedule Manager

SSM also includes a scheduling component that sets the desired state of a resource that is based on conventional scheduling criteria such as time, date, and day of the week.

The Schedule Manager lets you define a schedule and periods that set or change the desired state of resources at specific dates and times. For example, one schedule period can define the desired state for a resource on Monday through Friday. Another schedule period can control the desired state on weekends, and a third schedule period can take effect on holidays.
