Software Versions That Are Supported for Upgrade

CA Network Flow Analysis 9.2.0 supports upgrades from the following versions to the current configuration:

CA Network Flow Analysis 9.2.0
CA Performance Center 2.3.x or CA NetQoS Performance Center 6.1.205 SP2/6.1.194
(Optional) AD 9.2.0.

From	Upgrade To
NFA 9.1.2 operating with CA PC 2.2.x	NFA 9.2.0 operating with CA PC 2.3.x
NFA 9.1.3 operating with CA PC 2.2.x or 2.3.x	NFA 9.2.0 operating with CA PC 2.3.x
NFA 9.1.3 operating with NPC 6.1.194	NFA 9.2.0 operating with NPC 6.1.205 SP2/6.1.194

The following architectures are supported for upgrade:

Stand-alone 2-tier to stand-alone 2-tier
Distributed 2-tier to distributed 2-tier
Distributed 3-tier to distributed 3-tier

CA Network Flow Analysis 9.1.2 is the earliest software version that you can upgrade directly. If you have an earlier version, upgrade to version 9.1.3 before you proceed, as described in the CA Network Flow Analysis 9.1.3 Upgrade Guide.

Notes:

If you use CA Performance Center , upgrade CA Network Flow Analysis before you upgrade CA Performance Center.
If you use CA NetQoS Performance Center, upgrade it after you upgrade CA Network Flow Analysis--particularly if the programs are installed on the same server.
If you plan to switch from using to CA NetQoS Performance Center to CA Performance Center, run the Console tool before you unregister from CA NetQoS Performance Center.
You can switch from CA NetQoS Performance Center to CA Performance Center 2.3.x by unbinding before the upgrade and binding to CA Performance Center after the upgrade.
Note: CA Performance Center and CA Network Flow Analysis cannot be installed on the same server.
Windows NT Lan Manager (NTLM) is not supported in the current release of the Single Sign-On tool.
