Install CA Anomaly Detector

Complete the steps in this topic to install CA Anomaly Detector on a Windows server or virtual machine.

If the same server hosts CA Anomaly Detector and CA NetQoS Performance Center or CA Network Flow Analysis, follow the installation order described in Co-Installation. The steps are written with the expectation that you have already installed any related products that will be co-located with CA Anomaly Detector.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the server as an administrator.
  2. Get the CA Anomaly Detector installation files from CA Technical Support, including ADSetup9.1.3.exe, the installation and upgrade program for CA Anomaly Detector 9.1.3.

Burn the ISO file to a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM or extract the contents of the ISO file by using an ISO image software application.

Whether you plan to install the software locally or remotely, put the installation file on the installation server.

  3. Double-click the ADSetup9.1.3.exe file in Windows Explorer.

    The installation program opens.

  4. Verify that English is selected, then click OK.

    The Welcome screen opens.

  5. Click Next in the Welcome screen.

    The Pre-Installation Summary screen opens.

  6. Review the information, then click Install.

The Choose Install Folder screen opens.

  7. (Optional) Specify a custom installation location:
    1. Click Choose in the Choose Install Folder screen to change the installation location.

Use the same installation folder for CA Anomaly Detector and the NFA console or standalone installation. The default location is C:\CA\NFA. We recommend that you install CA Anomaly Detector on a nonsystem drive.

    2. Click Next when the installation path setting is correct.

The Installing AD screen opens, which shows the progress of the installation. When the installation is complete, the Install Complete screen opens and verifies that the installation was successful.

  8. (Optional) If errors occurred during the installation, see the following log for details:

    <install_path>\AD_Install_<timestamp>

  9. Click Done in the Install Complete screen.

    The installation program closes.
