Configure Web Content Expiration on Windows Server 2008 R2
Use the steps in this topic to configure web content expiration as recommended on a standalone server or NFA console server that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
Follow these steps:
- Log in as a user who is a member of the Administrators group.
- Select Start, Administrative Tools, Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 Manager.
The Internet Information Services Manager window opens.
- Display the options for expiring web content:
- Click the server name in the Connections pane.
The server features are displayed.
- Double-click the HTTP Response Headers icon in the HTTP Features group.
The window displays the current HTTP Response Headers.
- Click Set Common Headers in the Actions pane.
The Set Common Headers dialog opens.
- Select the following options:
- "Expire Web content" check box
- Immediately
- Save your changes and exit:
- Click OK.
The Set Common Headers dialog closes.
- Close the Internet Information Services Manager window.
