View the IP Domains List

IP domains are required for monitoring multiple environments with overlapping IP addresses. Set up all the domains that you will need before you begin to send flow data to CA Network Flow Analysis.

Note: This topic describes the steps to perform in CA Performance Center. If you install CA Network Flow Analysis and register it as a data source for CA NetQoS Performance Center, the steps are slightly different. For more information about tasks in CA NetQoS Performance Center, click Help in the CA NetQoS Performance Center Console.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to the CA Performance Center console as a user with the Administrator role.
2. Click Admin, User Settings, and IP Domains.

   The Manage IP Domains page shows the current list of IP domains.

   If you have not created any custom IP domains, only the Default Domain appears in the list. This predefined domain has a 'null' setting for all parameters.

   Any custom domains that you have created have values for the following parameters:

   Name

   Identifies the domain.

   Description

   (Optional) Describes this domain namespace, such as naming the enterprise that owns it.

   Primary DNS Address

   Is the IP address of the primary name server for this domain.

   Primary DNS Port

   Is the port number that the primary name server uses.

   Secondary DNS Address

   Is the IP address of the secondary name server for this domain. Can be the same as the primary address.

   Secondary DNS Port

   Is the port number that the secondary name server uses.

   DNS Proxy Address

   Is the IP address of the DNS proxy server.

   DNS Proxy Enabled

   Indicates whether the proxy address is enabled for this IP domain.
