Get Help in the Subcommand Environment

The subcommand environment in TSO provides online help on NMCMD and its subcommands.

To get help about NMCMD, enter the following command from TSO:

H NMCMD

To get help about an NMCMD subcommand, enter the following command from TSO:

NMCMD region_applid [USER(user_id/password)] CMD('HELP subcommand')

region_applid

Specifies the application ID of the region to which you want to issue a subcommand.

user_id/password

(Optional) Specifies the credentials you want to use to log on to region_applid.

Default: Your TSO user ID and password

subcommand

Specifies the subcommand for which you require help.

Important! To log on to a region successfully from TSO, the logon user ID must be defined with TSO Autologon = Y.
