TSO Interface

TSO users can use the supplied NMCMD command processor to enter requests directly from TSO. The NMCMD command processor provides a general interface between TSO and the NCL procedures.

After invoking the NMCMD processor, various subcommands are available. All subcommand functions are initially edited by TSO subcommand processors before being forwarded to where the standard CA SOLVE:FTS NCL Interface procedures are called to process the requests. This lets TSO users request file transmission activity without connecting to the CA SOLVE:FTS region directly.

In addition, a set of CLISTs, panel definitions, and programs designed to operate under ISPF’s Dialog Manager, extend the function for TSO users. These also use NMCMD for routing requests to CA SOLVE:FTS, and include additional NCL procedures and utilities for performing services according to the request type.
