After a transmission definition is filed on the VFS, you can request CA SOLVE:FTS to execute that definition.
Execution of the definition causes the following actions:
The function of executing a definition is called a transmission request. To view the status and progress of the transmission request, use the FTS : Transmission Supervision Menu.
The transmission request takes the name of the transmission definition, and is identified by that name until the request has completed execution and, if required, has been acknowledged by the operator.
When CA SOLVE:FTS accepts a request, it takes a copy of the information in the transmission definition. This means that, if required, the transmission definition can be altered or deleted while the transmission request is still active or queued. However, if a request fails and the transmission definition is updated in an attempt to correct the error, the request must be deleted and reissued to pick up the changed definition.
