Supplemental Data Set Organization
The following table shows the data set organizations supported for the input and output data sets. Where a particular organization is valid for transmission, file attribute checking is also performed as shown in Supported File Attributes.

- Y
-
File format is supported.
- N
-
File format is not supported.
Notes:
- Specify only one member of the partitioned data set if you are defining transmission definitions through FTS Transmission Definition full-screen panels. Multiple members can be transmitted using the FTS External Interface facilities, or by unloading the members into a sequential data set using a utility such as IEBCOPY and transmitting that data set. Members that contain user note lists within the directory (for example, load modules) are supported only as unloaded sequential data sets. Restart is not supported if the input or output data set is a member of a partitioned data set.
- Must not be an IMAGE-COPY transmission unless the input and output data set attributes are identical (that is, any existing output data set attributes cannot be changed).
- Can be supported by first creating a sequential data set using a utility such as IDCAMS, and transmitting that data set.
- Restart is not supported if the input data set is SYSIN or the output data set is SYSOUT.
