Polling time is the period in which the device pack connects to the EMS server, downloads and processes the files, and saves the files to the database. The polling time is defined in the fields, such as EMS_DELTATIME_Nmins, EXCLUDE_DIRECTORY_PATTERN_Nmins, and PERFORMANCE_POLL_RATE_Nmins. The polling time is specified in the second-minute-hour format. The values for seconds and minutes should be 0-59 and the value for hour should be 0-23. For example, * * 2 specifies that polling occurs everyday at 2 A.M. To perform polling in a regular interval, use ‘/’. For example, * */5 * specifies that polling occurs every 5 minutes.
