The exception selection routines are organized sequentially by exception number within the DYSNTEXC member and consist of SAS code. This code contains the exception selection criteria, severity level, management area, and the selection criteria for the exception test (e.g., selection of prime-time hours only). Each exception test condition has its name and number at the top so it can be located easily within the DYSNTEXC member. The value to be modified can then be changed directly within the SAS code. The following table lists the standard exceptions provided with the CA MICS Network Analyzer Option, including the exception number, default severity level, management area code, and descriptive title.
