7.3.1.2 NVSNSC Suspend Statement

The optional NVSNSC Suspend statement provides suspend
processing for the NVSNSC file. NetView and CA NetMaster
provide Session Monitor data used to build the NVSNSC file.
Since sessions can span multiple days, it is necessary to
retain the last observation for each session that has not
ended and include that information for processing with the
next group of data read. By doing so, the file elements can
be correctly calculated for long-running sessions or those
that span multiple input data files.

If the NVSNSC Suspend statement is not specified, the default
value is 30.

The NVSNSC Suspend Statement has the following format:

NVSNSC Suspend n

where n is a number between 1 and 365. This will identify the
number of times that information pertaining to a session that
has not ended yet will be suspended on the Session
Connectivity Suspend File (NVSNS1).
