7.3.1.1 SNTNAC Suspend Statement
The optional SNTNAC Suspend statement provides suspend
processing for the SNTNAC file. CA NetSpy and NPM provide
network session accounting (NSA) and network gateway
accounting (NGA) data used to build the SNTNAC file. Since
sessions can span multiple days, it is necessary to retain
the last observation for each session that has not ended, and
include that information for processing with the next group
of data read. By doing so, the file elements can be
correctly calculated for long-running sessions or those that
span multiple input data files.
If the SNTNAC Suspend statement is not specified, the default
value is 30.
The SNTNAC Suspend Statement has the following format:
SNTNAC Suspend n
where n is a number between 1 and 365. This will identify the
number of times information pertaining to a session that has
not yet ended will be suspended on the NCP Network Accounting
Suspend File (SNTNA1).
