6.3.5 Establishing TP Circuit Identifier (LNKTPCID)
TP Circuit Identifier is a 14-character variable that can
easily be added to the three CA MICS Network Analyzer Link
files to document the link vendor's (AT&T, MCI, and so on)
billing identifier. This information permits personnel
responsible for hardware maintenance to quickly identify the
TP Circuit ID associated with a failing link, thus reducing
problem reporting and hardware outage time.
This variable, when activated and initialized by the exit
routine described in Section 7.3.5, Link TP Circuit ID Exit
Routine Definition (SNTCIDRT), can be added to one or more of
the following files:
o NCP Link File (SNTNCL)
o NPM Link Activity File (SNTNPL)
o NLDM Link Activity File (NVSNLL)
TP Circuit Identifier is not required. You can omit its
definition altogether.
