6.6.1 Extended Example I/O Workload Analysis

To illustrate the use of the simple regression forecast plot,
monthly data was collected for the channels on a 9021-711 to
study the growth of the system's I/O workload.  Each of the
channels was characterized by average percent busy and the
number of SIOs completed during the month.

The generation of the resource element file used in this
study is discussed in Section 3.3.3.1.  In this example, the
