7.1 Transfer Parameters
Transfer parameters are set using a panel-driven system that
operates in VM. Transfer parameters define the following:
o the medium that contains the input data
o the medium that will contain the output data
o whether to use data compression
o the names of the required files
o NJE transmission information
o spool file disposition
Figure 7-1 illustrates the parameter specification panels.

Specify the transfer parameters for the VM Data Transfer
Program by entering this command from CMS:
VMTXMIT PARMS
This command displays the Parameter Selection Menu. Figure
7-2 contains a sample panel.

PARAMETER SELECTION MENU
Select the appropriate set of parameters.
COMMON TRANSFER These are the parameters that specify the
PARAMETERS: JES and VM data transfer system parameters.
ACCOUNT DATA These parameters specify the options for
PARAMETERS: Account data transfer.
CA VM:Account These parameters specify the options for
PARAMETERS: CA VM:Account data transfer.
MONITOR DATA These parameters specify the options for
PARAMETERS: VM Monitor data transfer.
NETWORK DATA These parameters specify the options for
PARAMETERS: NetSpy, NPM, NET/MASTER, and NetView data
transfer.
VSE/POWER These parameters specify the options for
ACCOUNT DATA VSE/POWER Account data transfer.
PARAMETERS:
ERROR RECORDING These parameters specify the options for
DATA PARAMETERS: Error Recording (EREP) data transfer.
ADDITIONAL PANEL FUNCTIONS
HELP: Use PF key 1 to read the help screen for
this panel.
EXIT: Use PF key 3 to exit the panel without
selecting a menu item.
VMTnnnn: The latest maintenance level of the CA MICS
VM Data Transfer Program applied in VM.
