1.2 Benefits
The VM Data Transfer Program provides the following benefits
to the CA MICS client:
o Simplifies the operational aspects of moving VM data
to MVS by eliminating the requirement for operator
intervention.
o Eliminates the requirement for "homegrown" code to
coordinate and execute the movement of data from VM to
MVS.
o Reduces CPU requirements and elapsed time when running
the CA MICS VM and CMS Analyzer or the CA MICS SNA
Network Analyzer, by allowing installation-specified
exclusion of data.
