7.2.1.6 COMMON Statement


The COMMON statement is optional and is used to identify the
JCL reference to be used when reading monitor data for one or
more VM systems from the same input ddname.

The COMMON statement has the following format:

COMMON datatype ddname

where

datatype  - is MON.

ddname    - is the ddname used to read the data type for
------      the system.

Note:  Do not use the COMMON statement if ddnames are
specified on the MON statement.  Only use the COMMON
statement if ddname is specified as *.
