The MOVE instruction performs the following conversions:
Fields that are defined with date attribute suffixes can be converted from one internal date format to another. The acceptable CA JARS Wizard internal date formats are:
YYMMDD (C)(6) or (N)(6) or (P)(4) YY/MM/DD (C)(8) MMDDYY (C)(6) or (N)(6) or (P)(4) MM/DD/YY (C)(8) DDMMYY (C)(6) or (N)(6) or (P)(4) DD/MM/YY (C)(8) YYDDD (C)(5) or (N)(5) or (P)(3) .fo on
CA JARS Wizard evaluates the date value in the date-field and place in WEEKDAY, a keyword and reserved area, the appropriate day of the week as MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, etc.
CA JARS Wizard evaluates the date value in the date-field and place in DAY OF WEEK, a keyword and reserved area, the appropriate numeric day of the week, as follows:
1 for MONDAY,
2 for TUESDAY, etc.
CA JARS Wizard converts the value of the data in field-name-1 to the format of field-name-2. Allowable conversions are:
hexadecimal to character
character to hexadecimal
In a character to hexadecimal conversion, nonhexadecimal characters are treated as zeros.
If the length of the character field is not equal to twice the length of the hexadecimal field, the resulting field is truncated or padded on the right as appropriate. Character fields are padded with spaces; hexadecimal fields are padded with hexadecimal zeros.
Note: Subfields of packed, binary and numeric fields are invalid.These formats must be converted to character format first.
