The MOVE instruction is a specialized function that should be used only to convert date field, hexadecimal field, or character field formats. It moves data from field-name-a to field-name-b and converts the format of the data to field-name-b's format. Field-name-a must be a previously defined field, but field-name-b can be a new field.
