CA JARS Wizard prepares break total lines automatically. They contain the following information:
A heading at the left end of the break total line identifies the break level. For example:
JOB NAME TOTAL
The break total line contains group totals for all numeric fields, except those specified in the glossary or user-defined fields with the suffix (NT). Total for some fields are meaningless (such as the TIME field).
Character fields specified in the BREAK statement prints for lower level breaks; however, all other character fields will be blank, unless defined by the suffixes (CT), (DF), (DL), or (K).
You can override page and report formatting at control break lines by using break heading literals or the suffixes discussed in the "Appendix B" chapter.
