Reason:

The field type specified in Datadictionary is not valid for CA Ideal. Such fields can be manipulated in CA Ideal as character-strings. Fields whose purpose is numeric (for example, binary double-word type 8), but which CA Ideal does not consider valid, can be passed to non-Ideal subprograms for manipulation in those environments.

Action:

To manipulate the field in the CA Ideal environment, re-specify the field in the Datadictionary table definition using one of the data types recognized by CA Ideal. See the Administration Guide for details.
