View User Permissions

You can view user permissions at any time.

To view any user's permissions

1. Select the user from the Users tab in the DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog.

   Once selected, Remote Control enables the following buttons: Properties, Permissions, and Delete. The Properties button is active only if the current security provider is Remote Control Local Security.

   Note: Be sure to click the User Name part of the description to enable these buttons. Clicking in the Full Name or Notes column does not work. If the buttons are already enabled, clicking Full Name or Notes disables those buttons.

2. Click Permissions to open the Permissions of... dialog.

   This dialog displays the following columns so you can view or configure permissions for the user, that is, define what the user can do:

   Permission

   Lists available functions for which you can assign permissions.

   Description

   Describes the function displayed on that line.

3. View the permissions, and click OK to close the Permissions of... dialog.

   You are returned to the Users tab of the DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog.

4. Click OK.

   The DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog closes.
