Modify User Permissions

In a stand-alone environment, you can modify permissions for a user, redefining what the user can do on the host.

To modify permissions

  1. Right-click the My Computer tree node in the Remote Control viewer, and click Properties.

The DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog appears.

  2. Click the Users tab.
  3. In the User Name list, select a user whose permissions you want to modify.
  4. Click Permissions.

The Permissions of... dialog displays the current permissions for the user.

  5. Modify permissions by selecting or clearing each check box for the desired function displayed in the Permission column.
  6. Click OK.

The Permissions of... dialog closes, and the permissions are applied immediately.
