Host Properties

Host properties include settings for security, communications protocol, connection type, and so on. Configuration of the host computer is done using the DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog.

There are several ways to view host properties:

Right-click the DSM Service status icon in the taskbar, click Remote Control Host, and click Properties.
Right-click the host icon, if it is displayed as a separate icon in the taskbar, and click Properties.
Right-click My Computer in the Remote Control viewer, and click Properties.
Note: Properties is available from My Computer when the Remote Control viewer component is installed on the same computer as the Remote Control host.
Select Programs/CA/CA IT Client Manager/DSM Properties from the Windows Start menu
Open a command line window and enter:
```
Dsmproperties show rchost
```

The DSM Properties - Remote Control dialog opens. This dialog contains several tabs that you can select for specific information about the host.
