The link operation failed in Asset Management. A missing unit or application or a missing link in Asset Management could be the cause.

An application link serves to update the software inventory for a unit (computer) in Asset Management.

Software package type is one of: Generic, MSI, Palm, PIF, PKG, RPM, SXP, or WinCE.

Action:

Ensure that the unit is registered with Asset Management. Ensure that the application is registered with Asset Management by using CA ITCM Explorer.
