Default policy is applied to computer groups upon installation, and it is the template used when creating the first new configuration policy. You can modify the DSM default policy and create new policies based on the default policy. User-defined policies are added as new policy nodes under the Control Panel, Configuration, Configuration Policy node in the DSM Explorer tree at the same level as the Default Computer Policy node.
