CA APM lets you view the details for an object that you saved when you want to verify or edit the information for the object. For example, you are not sure if the Preferred Vendor is correct for a particular model. You can verify this information by viewing the model details.
You can also view the details for some of the objects that are related to your original object. If a related object has a Browse icon, you can view its details. For example, you are viewing the details for an asset that has a specific contact. You can navigate directly from the asset details to the details for the contact by clicking the Browse icon next to the contact.
Object details are available for assets, models, legal documents, sites, companies, contacts, organizations, and locations (all objects with details pages in the product). When you are viewing the details for one of these objects, you can also see the details for a related object when the object has a Browse icon next to it.
To view the details for an object and a related object
The details for the object appear. You can verify or edit the object details.
Note: The Browse icon is enabled only if the field contains saved data.

Important! When you click the Browse icon, you leave the details page for the original object and navigate to the details page for the related object. To keep the details page for the original object in view and preserve the information for the original object, right-click the Browse icon and select Open Link in New Window. Close the new window when you are finished viewing the related object details.
The object is saved.
