Configure SQL Server
Before you begin the CA APM installation, configure SQL Server so that you can install and use the product with SQL Server.
To configure SQL Server
- During the SQL Server installation, select the following settings:
- SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode, which is a mixed mode authentication. If SQL Server is already installed, change the mode by changing the server security settings using SQL Server Management Studio.
- SQL Server Collation:
- Dictionary order
- Case insensitive
- 1252 character set
- Install SQL Server Client Tools on all servers where the CA APM components will be installed.
- During the CA APM installation, the user name that you define for connecting to the database server must have sysadmin role privileges, which are assigned in SQL Server.
