Run the Installation Jobs for a Tape Installation

Submit and run these SAMPJCL members in sequence. Do not proceed with any job until the previous job has completed successfully.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the SAMPJCL member IPC3RECT in an edit session and execute the IPCSEDIT macro from the command line.

    IPC3RECT is customized.

  2. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL member IPC3RECT to receive SMP/E base functions.

    CA IPC is received and now resides in the global zone.

  3. Open the SAMPJCL member IPC4APP in an edit session and execute the IPCSEDIT macro from the command line.

    IPC4APP is customized.

  4. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL member IPC4APP to apply SMP/E base functions.

    Your product is applied and now resides in the target libraries.

  5. Open the SAMPJCL member IPC5ACC in an edit session and execute the IPCSEDIT macro from the command line.

    IPC5ACC is customized.

  6. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL member IPC5ACC to accept SMP/E base functions.

    Your product is accepted and now resides in the distribution libraries.
