Installation Worksheet

The pre-installation worksheets are designed to simplify modifying the JCL supplied at installation. The parameter values are supplied for your convenience.

SMP/E Installation Job Procedures

The following parameters are required for the SMP/E installation job procedures:

  1. Job card information for card one.

    Default: ‘JOBCARD1’

  2. Job card information for card two.

    Default = 'JOBCARD2’

  3. Job card information for card three.

    Default = 'JOBCARD3'

  4. Job card information for card four.

    Default = 'JOBCARD4’

  5. Volume information for the product and SMP/E target and distribution datasets. Use either the VOL=SER or the SMS VOLINFO statement when editing the ISREDIT macro.

    Default = 'VOLINFO’

  6. Volume information for the CSI VSAM data set. Use either the VOL=SER or the SMS CSIVOLINFO statement when editing the ISREDIT macro.

    Default = 'CSIVOLINF'

  7. High level qualifier for the GLOBAL ZONE.

    Default = 'GLOBALHLQ'

  8. SMP/E High level qualifier for the CAIT0 TARGET ZONE.

    Default = 'CAIT0HLQ'

  9. Product dataset high level qualifier.

    Default = 'PRODHLQ'

  10. (Required if installing from DASD) High level qualifier for the datasets that were unzipped.

    Default = 'DASDHLQ'

  11. High level qualifier used for the SAMPJCL data set.

    Default = 'SAMPHLQ'

  12. SMS Output data class.

    Default = ‘DCLAS'

  13. SMS Output storage class.

    Default = ‘SCLAS'

  14. SMS Output management class.

    Default = 'MCLAS’

  15. Generic device type or symbolic group name for magnetic tape.

    Default = 'TAPEUNIT’

  16. Disk unit name

    Default = 'DISKUNIT'

  17. High level qualifier for SMP/E temporary files.

    Default = 'SMPETEMP'

  18. Data set fixed block size.

    Default = TGTBLKSZ’

  19. Target Zone name.

    Default = 'ZNCAIT0'

  20. Distribution Zone name.

    Default = 'ZNCAID0'

  21. The IBM CICS/TS target load library.

    Default = ‘SDFHLOAD'

Post-SMP/E Job Procedures

The following parameters are required for all of the post-SMP/E job (custom, new, and upgrade) procedures:

  1. The high level qualifier for the SMP/E target and distribution data sets.

    Default = 'PRODHLQ'

  2. The high level qualifier for the Custom libraries.

    Default = 'CAI.CHLQ'

  3. The high level qualifier for the CA IPC datasets.

    Default = 'CAI.HLQ'

  4. The high-level qualifier for the previous version CA IPC data sets.

    Default = 'CAI.PHLQ'

  5. The unit name for the temporary data sets.

    Default = 'SYSDA'

  6. What DASD volume serial name is to be used for the CA IPC INSTJHCL dataset.

    Default = 'DASD01'

  7. What DASD type is the VQVOL1 volume? For example, "SYSDA,3390,3390"

    Default = '3390'

  8. What DASD volume serial name is to be used for the CA IPC custom Libraries.

    Default = 'DASD02'

  9. What DASD type is the VQVOL2 volume? For example, "SYSDA,3380,3390"

    Default = '3390'

  10. What DASD volume serial name is to be used for the new CA IPC VLS files?

    Default = 'DASD04'
