Define existing physical network

Existing hardware configurations and data communications facilities must be considered when creating the initial conceptual specification. The hardware configuration and data communications facilities determine the physical network design. The administrator must be familiar with the existing configuration and be able to reconfigure the system in order to accomplish the level of distributed processing required by the organization.
