Install CA IDMS Server from CA IDMS Installation PAX File

Install CA IDMS Server from the CA IDMS installation PAX file, which contains the install image for the latest version of CA IDMS Server.

  1. Invoke the installation of CA IDMS. When the SMP/e portion of the CA IDMS installation is complete, the install image for CA IDMS Server is available in the CAGJDATV SMP library under member IDSERV17.
  2. FTP this member (in BINARY mode) to an appropriate location on your hard drive.
  3. Extract the installation files after the ZIP file is downloaded.
  4. Invoke the setup.exe file to initiate the installation.

Note: You do not need to install the CCI component when you install IDMS Server. The CCI communications interface is not supported with SQL Web Connect.
