Add Web Services

For each web service you add to a Web Service Definition, two nodes appear under the Web Service Definition node—the Web Service itself and the Port underneath it. By default, a port name is a concatenated string of the Web Service name and a suffix, SoapPort. This implementation of web services is based on SOAP. A Web Service Definition contains zero or more Web Services.

Note: CA Gen Studio supports only SOAP Web Services. SOAP is the transport protocol.

Follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the Web Service Definition in the Web Services view and click Add Web Service.
  2. Type a name for the new Web Service or click Finish to accept the default name.

Note: You cannot duplicate Web Services within the same Web Service Definition.

  3. Click Finish.

The Web Service and its port are added to the Web Service Definition in the Web Services view.
