Specify External Files for a Physical Object

The External tab appears on selected physical storage object property editors to provide a way to add external files to a storage object property.

To specify external files for a physical object

  1. Open the property editor for a physical object and click the External tab.
  2. Work with the following options:
    Delimiter

    Specifies what the delimiting character is for the External Name clause.

    External Name

    Specifies the identifier that names the entry point. It can also be a string that identifies the path to the source code.

    Entry Point Name

    Specifies the entry point name of the object.

    External Security Type

    Specifies what context the function or stored procedure should execute under. Select from the drop-down list. Valid values are: Definer or Invoker.

    External Security Authorization

    References the authorized user.

  3. Click Close.

    The property editor closes.
