Resolve Security Violations

Security profiles control the actions that each user can perform on a particular class of objects. A security violation is when you attempt to perform a command for which you do not have permission.

You must resolve all of the security violations before you can save the model. The changes made to a model at the object level and property level, that violate security, appear in the tree.

To resolve security violations

  1. Click Save.

The Resolve Security Violations dialog appears. The Session Summary displays the transactions that violate security.

  2. Resume editing the model to resolve the conflicts or click Reverse All to reverse all the transactions that cause security conflicts.

After the reversal occurs, a new transaction called Security Reversal appears in the Action Log showing the reversals. The Action Summary is processed again and new or remaining security violations display in the Resolve Security Violations dialog.

  3. Click Save.

    The security violations are resolved.

Note: The Save button is disabled until all security violations are resolved.
